A few photos from today's recreational Assenliggers bike ride. In total I rode 81 km today, it was a bit warmer than last week. The sun even came out for a bit.

There were four of us today, @TheoZw (who led us this week), @twilwel, Gert and myself.

More photos from today showing some of the very rural paths that we used, a very unusual railway crossing (they nearly all have controls these days, but not this one on a line used only by restored steam trains) and a very pretty tree.

And a few photos from last Wednesday when @jhembrow and I delivered a couple of parcels.

@hembrow @jhembrow

very neat! i assume it's a bit warmer in a velo than on a bike, but i'm curious, how much warmer do you think you get inside a velo during a moderate effort/length ride?

@evdas It's a lot warmer than a normal bike in the winter with the soft cover on (just your head pokes out). I mostly cycle in a t shirt, never wear gloves even below freezing, stick to shorts unless it's under 10 C. But in the summer it also works well. Then you don't have the cover so there's more airflow, and half your body is in shade.
