Interesting to see #Swasticar trending.

My #trans family have been driving them for years and now they need to also be afraid of driving to work because of you ignorant fools.

Can’t fix stupid.

@MelodyWainscott Yeah, absolutely not the right call. We can do better than this

@duckyfella @MelodyWainscott I really hope we can, or we are very screwed.

On the plus side, I saw a post suggesting the poster might print stickers and give them for free to Tesla owners, and the thread showed some examples already on Teslas. At least not everyone is on the mindless dogpiling train, I hope...

@aehdeschaine

Did you read the comments on that sticker post? Looks like a mob mentality witch hunt.

Haters are going to hate and pretend their hatred is righteous.

Living in hatred must be utterly miserable.

@MelodyWainscott @aehdeschaine That’s why I try not to get too emotionally invested in some of the stuff I see online. If you let yourself go down the rabbit hole, you’re just going to be storming around being angry all the time. Watch cat videos instead or something, it’s better for blood pressure

@duckyfella

I like to test my ability to observe and reflect without getting wrapped around the axel. Agree cat videos are definitely an antidote for becoming enraged.

@MelodyWainscott Some of them. And yes, there were some doozies. I've wondered for a long time what the Republicans think they're going to do when the only people they have left to hate are each other. It just seems so pointless and empty to live on hate that hard. Lately, I really don't think many leftists realize how saturated in hate they sound, too. Invoking "nuance" can be tricky on social, but I do think some people need to think about it. We can't survive on hate, either.

@MelodyWainscott Nuance, or just... not saying anything. Every comment is fuel for the fire.

@aehdeschaine

Not saying anything in synchronous time can be effective.

Hatred looks like an addiction from my POV.

@MelodyWainscott That's a good way to put it. I know when I scroll broader feeds, or down long comment threads (on almost any topic, alarmingly, not just political), it seems like it's a collective addiction for many. People love to talk about how "nice" fedi is without realizing that people are people and we do the same stuff here we do anywhere else, and maybe it's time to think about that. I noticed more of what TonyStark was describing today (in a comment TO TonyStark, no less). Not good.
