Honestly those "mastodon" guarantees are worthless -- we've seen big instances go down for multiple days and just disappear.

Our instance is community funded and community ran, and no one wants to poop in the communal water well, so we do our absolute best to keep the server up and running.

We've had a few short moments of downtime the past 2 years, but never more than 6 hours.
