@MissMeow Yup, that was my case, too. I have located here and on Bluesky (taking it with a grain of salt) as much artist as I could, but I'll we close the account for good. The weight of my conscience and caring for my privacy outweights the enjoying of the artist remaining there. Also, the addiction that creates is not good on my sleep patterns.

@danielgibert I am currently looking into quitting Facebook and Instagram. Do you know of an alternative to Instagram? AFAIK Instagram’s format is one of a kind. But maybe there are similar platforms I don’t know about?

@Uniflame If you like Mastodon, then I suggest Pixelfed. It is federated, algorithm-less, it shares same protocol as mastodon and you can even follow people between both services. It is still very young but very promising. It lacks some features at this moment, but that will be added very soon. And it is growing fast. It is developed specifically as a fediverse alternative to Instagram.
