@feather1952 I doubt it will happen in my lifetime. More people need to read and digest @johnmacgregor's book "The Mechanics of Changing the World : political architecture to roll back state & corporate power". The politicians we elect to represent us rarely do, they are just puppets, controlled and directed by corporations, media and more. Elections are just to make us feel like we have a voice and some power.

The electoral system is there for all Australians to use as they see fit. It is a good system and applied judiciously would rid us of all grifters purportedly representing their communities. The enemy, the palliative, is the fourth estate. Nothing else is more responsible for the apathy, gullibility and anger that fester in our society which prevents the electoral system from working as intended, as the sword of democracy.
