Weird thing that happened over the 2020 pandemic was everyone being convinced that the fly of 1918 was universally called the "Spanish flu". That's not what I was taught.

@anjum it’s definitely how I’ve always heard about it… as a Spaniard (yes, that’d be like the Chinese calling COVID “the Chinese flu”)

@xerz I think might've been a Charles Schulz thing then :blobcatthinking: who was born in like the 1920s so I wonder or not if it's partly a generational thing.
