Ancestors

I know I've said it a lot, but ever since I discovered how this Battletech game works and stopped trying to make good mechs, I've gotten much, much better at the game.

Yup, nothing says "tiny little scout team" like 250t of heavy assault weaponry on "scout" frames.

I haven't lost a single mech in any fight, and the only internal damage any mecha have suffered has been to legs.

Because the game AI thinks this is a light scout team, and opposes it accordingly.

It should be noted that my heavy reliance on autocannons has also made the dreaded murderbot helicopters a lot less dangerous, too, because I simply remember to install flak ammo on every mech.

Still, I haven't seen them much because they only show up in 1.5-2.5 skull raids, and I'm still at one skull.

Descendants

This would never work in a "real" game against actual humans, because they'd maneuver well enough to cut me off.

The team is slow as molasses, I only win because I can outmaneuver the enemies even at less than half their speed.
