ICE entered a GRADE SCHOOL, claimed to be "Secret Service", but when the school people called their bluff, they left.

Why?

Because the Secret Service is only authorized to protect politicians, and would never be involved in immigration matters.

Perhaps ICE thought they would fool (and intimidate) the school officials—but they seem to be not as smart as people who educate children.

I'm reading now that they were supposedly investigating a threat (by a grade schooler?) made on Tik Tok.

But this is the Trump government. I give them no credibility.

Whenever a Republican is President, the SS gets very aggressive.

@nilsskirnir

It might've actually been the SS, but still doing the bidding of ICE.

("We'd like the interview some of the kids . . .so, hey there, lil' buddy, by the way, is your daddy originally from Mexico?")

Because ICE needs the intel. There's only about 6,000 deportation agents, which averages to 120 per state.

And Project 2025 wants to begin involving other agencies, normalizing it until they try to get the military involved.

@_chris_real @nilsskirnir Clearly they suspected the elementary school students of being ringleaders in a sophisticated counterfeiting ring...

The press release claims they were investigating a threat against the president, made by a grade schooler, on Tik Tok!

Which is just as funny as your satirical excuse.

@_chris_real @nilsskirnir Ah, a grade school assassination plot!

This hits different in this era of children shooting each other. It should but absurd. I wish it were more absurd.

Crazy that the principal didn't ask to see a badge and record the badge numbers and names and ask for specific legal justification for their investigation. Glad that they were kept out, but this was imo poor procedural handling.
