I am much more worried about the very real rounding up of immigrants happening right now than anything else. This is something that we have power at the ground level to help with, and our resistance is critical.
This not the first time the US has done this. In the 1950's 1.3 million people were deported to Mexico, not all of them immigrants. The difference between then and now is our access to technology, and our ability to communicate. We can make a difference https://www.history.com/news/operation-wetback-eisenhower-1954-deportation

ICE was turned away from a Chicago elementary school. They were not allowed on site and they did not detain anyone. This is why resistance is important, and how we can actively fight.
Edit: The school district has said that ICE did not come to the school, but Secret Service. This was a miscommunication by the district. The article has been updated.

@itzyg
It wasn't ICE but Secret Service trying to find a kid who posted an anti-FOTUS video.
The school's reaction to the DHS IDs was the right one, no matter which branch was nosing around. What I found interesting is that supposedly they visited the home first...you think they'd just have stayed there.
