Sometimes during the day, I pause what I'm doing and, in my mind, I construct a Mastodon post, moulding it from the clay of my thoughts, chiseling away superfluous words. I do this until it's perfect.

And then I go back to whatever I was doing, not bothering to post it.

Just me?

@davidnjoku usually i type them up first so they're ready to go. then either delete, or leave as draft forever.

@davidnjoku Frequently and often. It's like I've processed the idea into words and that's enough, job done.

Often I'll post something and completely forget about it because it's more about getting it out of my head than showing it to people.

I wish I could journal in private but for some reason I need to craft ideas for an audience, whether they exist or not.
