No 4g as mast is off so when our router backup battery goes that’s it - we’ll be completely cut off from civilisation. Pray for us. OMG I might have to do things that don’t involve scrolling on my phone 😭

@pixiepippi @aroundthehills A heartfelt thank you for your sterling scrolling efforts. 🙏🏻 Luckily the power is back on. Not holding my breath as it came on before but then went off again. This time it seems to be lasting. The router battery held out but the connection went pfffft! Possibly a village cabinet problem. Now we have 4g back and the EE 4g backup hub has kicked in. Overall I’m quite impressed with the way it’s all worked. And hats off to the leccy guys! 🤗

we have over 20 hours battery possible, charged by solar and/or grid. Satellite, TV, Fibre modem, WiFi/Router/Switch, fridge, freezers and other stuff.

Last time 11 hr cut, and fibre off for last 1.2 hr.

Today something in the public network lost power for a couple of hours as the modem said the fibre wasn't lit. :(

The wind knocked dish out of alignment before dawn and it was about 2pm before it was safe to re-align. It's 1.1m dia & gets 5 satellite positions. Needed less wind.
