Toot

23 days into 2025 and I've had electricity for 6 of them.

I love camping but I would like to use my camping equipment outside not in my own house.

@temerity We had a bit of that last week. The PSPSes have been hitting my mountain locale (also in the IE)

@Catwoman69y2k it's insane. If their infrastructure is so dangerous it's can be blown over and start fires during annual and extremely predictable winds, you'd think they'd fucking fix it.

I'm going to call SCE and scream at a supervisor until I feel better.

@temerity Its more annoying because the scenario that we are in was not necessary. If SCE had been regularly maintaining equipment, there wouldnt this scenario that puts people in ghe position of having to de-energize for preventing the fire.

Even when these wind events aren't happening, I can think of multi-day outages done by SCE now that they are forced to fix thier shit

@Catwoman69y2k during the hottest week of the summer they shut off our power for several days to replace 2 power poles in our neighborhood. Just 2. Everything in our fridge spoiled and it was 104 degrees outside so the house got unbearable. They never came back to fix any others. It's pretty obvious they don't want to spend the money to repair everything that is in dangerous condition.
