getting real tired of the "the other guys do data collection, too. CHECKMATE" argument. it makes even less sense if you don't use microsoft and google products. when can we let this stupid idea die?

I saw some one of those Meta-enabled smart glasses recently, and they were just as creepy as you'd think they are. Only my girlfriend was one of the only ones even creeped out by it (probably because i never shut up about this stuff.)

@redstrate it sucks that smart glasses are all shit like that because sunglasses that do basic smart watch things in the corner of my eyes is all i've wanted from wearable computers, especially now that im on an ebike and can't really be looking at my phone

so far i've just settled for just having bone conduction headphones and checking my phone when i'm stopped and not on the road. maybe i'll just get a smartwatch eventually but i already don't like looking down at my bike's screen to check the battery/speedometer
