@maxleibman I had a white male friend who while in college didn't get an internship at NASA.

So, he wrote them to ask what he could do better.

Their answer? Nothing. We're glad you reached out. You tied for first place with eleven other people. The ten spots were filled by women and people of color. You're great. Please stay in touch.

He said he understood.

He graduated and went to work for NASA.
