@Virginicus One cold place I've been is the cold room at BAS in Cambridge. But actually I don't think it was quite as cold as it usually is - my visit was on an open day so the doors were being opened and closed and I suspect that the inside managed to warm up at least slightly. https://www.bas.ac.uk/
