On one hand, we can hope that the US leaving the Paris Agreement will know the same kind of delays and internal opposition as it did the previous time https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_and_the_Paris_Agreement
On the other, we have 5 years left to drastically reduce our emissions to stay below the +1.5°, which sounds like a huge undertaking. If the country responsible for ~15% of the worldwide emissions is not on board and might potentially increase their impact, how are we not fucked?
