With the closure of octodon.social in a few months and the necessity for @lionel to find a home on the Fediverse, we have decided to install together a 🤏🏻small GoToSocial instance, for ourselves, our own projects, and maybe a few mutual irl friends in the future (but that’s not the priority).
I’ll be doing the proper migration to @yhancik@thereisno.computer in a few days/weeks.
Thanks again to @CobaltVelvet for running Octodon all these years, it was a great home to start on the Fediverse!

There must have been a change somewhere in my browser or OS, or maybe it's in the supported websites, but I suddenly realised my Yubikeys weren't recognised anymore on sites where I added them for 2FA.
Currently re-adding the ones I have at home (I'll need to re-add my off-site backup key later :s).
What the fuck, though?

On one hand, we can hope that the US leaving the Paris Agreement will know the same kind of delays and internal opposition as it did the previous time https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_and_the_Paris_Agreement
On the other, we have 5 years left to drastically reduce our emissions to stay below the +1.5°, which sounds like a huge undertaking. If the country responsible for ~15% of the worldwide emissions is not on board and might potentially increase their impact, how are we not fucked?
