The whole "it's a Roman salute and the Nazis don't own it" thing is such obvious bullshit, but I remember ostensibly liberal accounts making similar arguments whenever some bigwig in the Ukrainian military was caught with swastika merch ("mAyBe hE's zOrRoAstRiAn"), so...yeah. 💀

@sofiav I mean before it was a Nazi salute it was an American salute and imperial salutes are just fascist anyway like
