Tonight we told Chess Grandpa that we couldn't go out with him because we couldn't afford to order beer at the bar, so he came up with a VERY SNEAKY plan where we'd all go to the bar and order one bottle of beer and then spend the rest of the night topping up our glasses with cans he'd brought from home. And then when we got to the bar he proceeded to repeat this plan several times out loud while the waiters politely pretended not to notice what we were doing 🤦‍♀️🤣💖

Yeah...the Democrats "impeached" Trump idek how many times, but still weren't able to prevent him from enacting his terrible policies while he was president or from running for president again in 2024. The most we got from them was a very slight reprieve during Biden's term, but without any meaningful changes in how the government was being run. I have a chess friend who makes the most dramatic "oh god, oh shit, oh no" face when he's thinking carefully, and he does that even when he's clearly winning, but last night we had a really complicated position at the end of our game where I was maybe ~slightly~ better but there was a lot going on for both of us, and he spent a full five minutes staring at the board looking like he was about to get murdered and I was like "...I think I broke him?" 🤣

I'm out and just saw something about the ceasefire deal on TV, but it was mostly about whether Biden or Trump should get credit for it and not about the actual terms. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ But any ceasefire is a good thing, right? If Palestinians aren't being constantly bombed into oblivion, the state of the world is a little better than it was yesterday
