Had a long chat with one of my personal tutees (students for whom I have pastoral care). Very smart, articulate, and funny young woman who is ASD and has a modest physical disability. She told me about an automated interview where the AI gave her some kind of feedback at the end. Apparently it "concluded" that she is not a team player and is anti-social. This could not be more wrong. I wonder whether she will get a rejection tomorrow… I'm pretty outraged. #AI #bias #risk #disability

Years ago, before the AI boom, I pulled out of the recruitment process for what I thought was an enlightened organisation because they wanted to use online "personality tests".
My complaint provided links to evidence that such things are biased and not accurate.
It was a major Linux distro company, present in the UK.
I really didn't expect them to use such bs.
