Please forgive this strange poll, but I'm genuinely curious about this phenomenon. I don't know how widespread it was, but it seems to have been very widespread in my generation, and I suspect it died out in the early 2000s. I also suspect this might be more of an American experience, but who knows.
When you were a teenager, did you ever find a stash of pornographic magazines while you were playing in the woods? (I've broken this down by age) Feel free to boost.

FWIW: It feels like everyone my age who grew up anywhere near woods that they could play in had this experience. I certainly did. My friends and I found some pretty dank Danish porn magazines in the woods behind our apartment complex on one occasion. "Woods Porn" was the only other place to see porn other than stumbling across magazines in your dad's sock drawer.
