Home Assistant is amazing magic, sometimes.
I've got a Grohe Blue sparkling water tap, which is capable of dispensing set amounts of water when buttons are pressed on the accompanying app.
I recently attached a zigbee coordinator to my #HomeAssistant setup with the idea of resurrecting some old Hue bulbs and dimmer switches that I had left over from a previous smart home installation. I've spent the last few days reassociating that hardware with the new network.
I also looked to see if there was a Grohe smart home interface, which there is via HACS.
Long story short: I've repurposed one of the old 4-button dimmer switches as a push-button water dispenser that dispenses set amounts of still and sparkling water for glasses, water bottles, teapots, etc.
One of my guests this morning said it was a huge accessibility aid, compared to the manual on-the-tap interface. So I'm chalking that up as a win.
