Whatever service provides the weather info for my laptop says it's -9.3°F (-22.9°C) outside. Which is, amazingly, optimistic. It's actually -16.1°F (-26.7°C).
In other news, I have no plans to step outside unless absolutely necessary. I've been outside in -26.2°F (-32.3°C) and don't care to repeat it.

@to When I was in Mexico, I unironically had my lightest sweatshirt, unzipped, while climbing a mountain. It was -2°C. I told the guide…I'm from rural New York; this is nothing for me 😆

@jhpratt Holly cow, my lowest limit is around 8°C on t-shirt but I need a perfect cloudless day to have at least some heat from the sun 🙈

@to in fairness I ordinarily would have a slightly heavier jacket on at that temperature (and zipped), but the ~40% thinner air at that elevation presumably helped out some.
At one point I wanted to calculate the sea-level equivalent temperature in terms of radiant heat loss, but I never bothered to actually do it.
