Meetup-dot-com has emailed me (and likely other folks) a few times with an invitation to take over as organizer for a couple events that @craigmaloney used to host and I used to attend.

I don't like it.

I also love that the thing is meetup-dot-com is inviting me to take over an event that takes place on the other side of the country. And then the next email is cajoling me to "make your mark on Portland" by starting new Meetup events here.
