I want to start making weathered models, and eventually dioramas. To do that I really need to paint them, too. I have a history of brush painting with Warhammer but find it time consuming for just laying down big swaths of color. Obviously weathering is brush painting and similar techniques.
Based on my recollection, spray cans take up a lot of space, aren't precise, and really need to be done outdoors. Air brushing seems like the way to go it's just more $ up front.

The upcoming Fuji Instax Wide Evo has film styles including collodion. At first I was like "ugh just like IG filters" and then I remembered that those filters got me interested in film and alternative processes to begin with. They were my gateway. So this is good and fine? Yes, it's good and fine.

When Jasper visited over the summer for a moped rally, we walked around taking photos on Belle Isle. I found out my Rolleiflex 2.8E needed a focus adjustment that day, but I still got some decent photos.
Worth noting it was originally Swan Island to the Anishinaabe, and the Detroit River was important in their lives.

I just got Peter Hujar Behind The Camera and In The Darkroom by Gary Schneider and have been paging through it. I am absolutely rapt.
Schneider is the official printer of Hujar's archive, and occasionally his model. He breaks down Hujar's prints and contact sheets, discussing the details of the image-making and printing process.
Absolutely a 5/5 must-have photo book for me. The ever-present specter of AIDS makes it heartbreaking too.

Frank Thorp V has some great photos on Instagram of members of the 118th Congress (including the alleged sex offender Matt Gaetz): https://www.instagram.com/p/DERDRj7x53l/?igsh=c2JhNDkzcmRnM25q
Gorgeous 4x5 results. I want to figure out what lens he's using. It used to be an Aero Ektar but I'm guessing he might have replaced it for the same reason I did.

My dad was my family Secret Santa, and amongst the things he gave me was this book: Polaroid Land Photography by Ansel Adams. Only $1 at the friends of the local library shop.
Though much of it is obsolete, it's still fascinating. Makes me long for affordable and reliable pack film! I never got to experience that. I love old photography manuals!

The Trump people want mass deportations. How about instead we do mass citizenship? If you've come seeking a better life, let's make it happen. We already do extensive background checks and classes, and we probably still should (though how to do it without racism is a question for people smarter than me), so why not get that process started?
Compassion costs nothing and gets us everything.

My organizing capacity is pretty limited, so beyond giving a time and place, I'll have to leave it to others. If you're interested, sing out and I'll suggest a time and place.

Hey #BelieveInFilm folks, have you used the 3 Legged Thing universal L-bracket with a Pentax 67? Or another non-Kirk option? I'd like to hear about it! I'm trying to find an L-bracket for mine.
Boosts welcome!

New scans, from film I shot almost two years ago (based on the tattoo I was getting). Sometimes I really like how my scans came out, and the whole roll is good!

At the time, I thought I missed focus because focusing with a Rolleinar is hard (it is). But now having discovered the focus was out of whack, I wonder if it wasn't just the camera 🤔
Rolleiflex 2.8E + Rolleinar (1, I think)
