Today's repair log:

• replaced the right-click switch in my trackball, which felt relatively mushy after replacing the left one.

• replaced the broken power jack on a MSI GS66, which was a slightly weird custom part. The new jack isn't seated correctly because I couldn't get all the solder out of the through holes in what I'm assuming is an 8- or 10-layer PCB, so I just dremelled the case to compensate. It is impressively janky but seems to work so far.

• restored in-house servers after discovering that the 8yo had unplugged everything in the basement for some reason.
