It’s not a department. It’s not funny. It’s not even legally constituted. And they will face incredible pushback from nearly every Republican member of Congress, because any cut they propose will impact one of their districts or states.
They do this because they think they can own the libs and dispirit people while experiencing the only kind of joy they can: at the expense of others.

@glennf I don't believe they will see any pushback from any elected office. Those people ran on this fake agency and its proposed cuts to their constituents entitlements and won. It is a department, they do have authority, and we need to understand that because they are above the law, we have to use extrajudicial measures to deal with them.

@glennf Assuming they seriously try to hit their $2tn target, and they won't touch military, Social Security, or Medicare/Medicaid, then they basically need to cull all of the disrectionary spending.
And if they plan to do that, they don't need a "department”, because you just kill it all.

@twasink I don’t think they’ll get the House to pass any of the cuts. Trump will try to use executive powers to force them. Then there will be lawsuits he will lose, as Republicans and Democrats have in the past. Congress controls the purse strings is a pretty strong dictum.
