[#]WritersCoffeeClub Jan 21: What difference do you find in your process if you write both short and long-form?

With a short story I’m much less worried about “show, don’t tell”. With a novel I’m always on the lookout for places that I’m creating a montage rather than creating individual scenes. Other than that i write pretty much everything the same way, I rush in where angels fear to tread. “I have an IDEA!”

@LuciaG I definitely have a montage problem in my current project! A little 500-word scene here, a 1000-word scene there, and hey look! It's a chapter! (Naw, man, those are the bits you need to fuse together to make a chapter.)
