@sindarina LOL. In practical terms, the internet connection handles inter-site replication and S3 backup offload. It is completely unusable with the queued up backlog to the point that every third ping drops.
But I did find an older Netgear 4G hotspot that has a IP Passthrough/bridge mode that can do 30-40 Mbps (as opposed to the 6/1 Mbps on the ADSL line) so I'm slowly climbing out of the pit of despair

@sindarina It's the Asymmetric part that's killing me as it's trying to move the backups offsite and the 1Mbps up was just not up to the task
