Managed to tune out yesterday, not succeeding today as it is everywhere...

Trying to focus on finding the next job to lob an application at.

Getting distracted by all of the crap. "Top job for you" click "betting platform" noooooooooooope... I'd rather be homeless.

Have reverted to thinking about chilli seeds instead. I need to get at least my superhots in this week.

Looks like we have run out of chamomile tea, so might pop down the shop to see if they have any. Why am I not growing chamomile... I should see if I can germinate any seeds from whatever tea I get.

@yvan @richrollgardener If you decide to grow Chamomile you will need to be patient with the seeds because it reportedly takes 14-21 days to germinate. There seem to be two kinds, a low growing perennial called Roman Chamomile, and a tall growing annual called German Chamomile. Both look pretty with ferny leaves and daisy-like flowers..

@digitalrodent @richrollgardener I may well consider getting proper seeds of a known variety, but I've heard of people having some success growing from the content of tea bags before. Probably pretty random in terms of success rates I suspect!

@yvan @digitalrodent @richrollgardener I'd never even considered that it's possible to grow chamomile from tea bags!

@yvan @richrollgardener @MikeFromLFE

It should work depending on the processing of the tea in question. Chamomile tea is made from the dried flower heads, which should contain some mature seeds. Unless the tea is processed in some way that would kill the seed (like grinding) it should still be able to sprout…

@digitalrodent @yvan Thanks for this! I have been meaning to grow chamomile this year as well and I hadn't thought to check for seeds in the bottom of my jar of loose tea. There is a good layer in there! It will be fun to see whether they germinate.

@beandreams @yvan That method will insure you get a variety that’s suitable for tea! Although, from what I have read almost all Chamomile flowers can be used for tea.
