Disclaimer: I work for the European Commission on Climate Policy
What is the problem here? We’ve got the “biggest ever” set of climate and energy regulations in the implementation phase until 2030, see below.
Big negotiations on the post 2030 period coming up this mandate. Serious political pressure against, scapegoating climate policy for the Russian energy crisis. She is defending EU climate policy against some currently obvious opposing moves.

While I sincerely appreciate your disclaimer, your post is nothing but PR.
"Biggest of all time" is no relevant measure. Not at all.
She hasn't even come close to having done enough in her 1st term, and now she doesn't even try to stand up for defending the scraps she had accomplished.

PR or not, I think you’re underestimating the challenge of reaching either -55% by 2030 vs 1990 (raised from -40% by VDL1) or the ambition of reaching climate neutrality by 2050, as legislated in the EU Climate Law.
That long term goal is (rightly) ahead of the IPCC AR6 scenarios for the world.
I am fine with Green heckling(*), but let’s not leave an online impression that we are all Trump.
(*) ideally constructive, focused on “How?”

I hate to break it to you that the real world climate doesn't care one bit about the conservative, overoptimistic IPCC scenarios.
I also hate to break it to you that it's exactly because I understand the challenge, it's shameless to pretend to stay on course for 1.5°C while the EU is absolutely not.
Greenwashing and subsidizing fossils and agro extremists are thriving under her but yeah, let's pretend she has green credentials. /sarcasm
Deepest contempt for these BS PR stunts.

@Akshay The Paris Agreement seeks to limit warming to, on average across the world, 1.5 degrees higher than preindustrial temperatures, which we're already at. That means the wildfires that gave the upper East coast orange air that smelled like firewood for a week in 2023, hurricane Helene, the floods that put a third of Pakistan underwater in 2022, the LA wildfires, etc will be the new normal. In fact, since we're on track to miss the PA goals, our new normal will be worse.
Our best hope is destroying the infrastructure killing the planet (by modifying constitutions then seizing and dismantling pipelines and oil refineries and stuff, for example).
