With Musk acting as part of the government through "DOGE" (whatever that turns out being; it's certainly not a department) and beyond, civil society (nonprofits, social movements, etc.) must further reconsider any remaining justification to maintain a presence on X.

This also factored into Le Monde's decision to depart X:
"Today, however, the intensification of Musk's activism, the formalization of his position within the Trump power apparatus and the increasing toxicity of the exchanges led us to come to the conclusion that the usefulness of our presence weighs less than the many suffered side-effects." @eloquence people should leave any Zuckerberg owned social media also. Before Zuckerberg is able to an achieve what musk achieved by keeping people on twitter for so long after his purchase of it. #USpol #meta #fascism #oligarchy I am deleting instagram as we speak. The only social media I am on after today is the fediverse (mastodon).
