@peterkretzman @kellyosullivan To explain the serial killer thing. When I first met Kelly, I had offered her a place to stay overnight after her meeting in DC. I was waiting for her at Metro, and we had no idea what we each looked like. So I helpfully told her I was the SUV parked next to the serial killer van. She understood completely what I meant. It was a white van. No windows. :)

Wondering what #Tesla shareholders are thinking right now. Might musk damage the brand enough that they will sell or speak out? Maybe not. Maybe they don’t have maturity or ethics either. But the general public also has a role in making Tesla a name of shame. It’s toxic and shoddy and uncool. Years ago had been considering the SUV before it came out. Before reading about their build quality and tech corner cutting, and before paying attention to musk. Had no interest after my research.

Thinking about the advice about when is the right time to leave a bad situation. The best time was X time ago. The next best time is NOW.

Zuckerberg & Musk's communication platforms are not going to magically change for the good.

Instagram account deleted. I notified pals a few weeks ago that I would. Facebook dumped eons ago. Twitter after Musk took over. The only social media I will be on ever again will be in the Fediverse and similar.

We gave Musk and Zuckerburg too much power over us. We still have the ability to take a chunk of that away.

Continuing to give these kinds of people power over communication is not wise.

IMHO we are at a point in history where our choices matter enormously.

Just left goodbye post on Instagram. The one remaining tech bro owned platform that I used. I dumped Facebook decades ago, Twitter a couple of years ago. Refused my MIL's request to use WhatsApp. I'll miss Insta. I followed many makers there and it was my glossy magazine of creativity. But. I was just a consumer, vs creator. I'd flip through looking at cool stuff makers had made. I'll search them out in other ways now. I will delete in a few weeks after I've gathered addresses from those I know.
