In retrospect, "Retweets aren't endorsements" was a weird, disingenuous disclaimer. “My promoting this tweet to hundreds or thousands of my followers does not mean I endorse it in any way." Then why are you spreading it?
This is also an argument for quote-tweets and quote-posts—they are a way to share with context, to make it clear why you're sharing, and to what extent you disagree with or would add nuance to the original.
Because a boost (or retweet) by itself is a tacit endorsement.
