I went back and looked at a few of the FaceApp pictures I had saved earlier in my journey, and honestly? I think I beat FaceApp.

I mean, they were great inspiration. They help my egg crack they helped me keep moving forward. But the AI girl in those pictures is almost cartoonishly wrong, in much the same way FaceApp misses the mark when I have it gender swap a current picture back to male.

@Dawn I had a similar reaction to mine. But directly after seeing them: "Interesting, but that's not me."

But where the pictures made you move forward, I hoped to find a way to myself after seeing "what is possible."

@sashag back then I did this really intense study between the before and after pictures, to see what they had and had not changed. Thinned my eyebrows, widened my eyes a little, tightened up my chin. All things that are mostly in my own control (with the help of makeup, when I’m not too lazy).

I’m happy with how I look. I think I’m pretty. I see beauty where I didn’t before. I think that’s a win, and I’ll take it.
