It could be that Musk didn't want to bring a Nazi salute, but on a presidential stage with an audience of millions not avoiding the confusion about this, is just plain stupid and shows how unqualified he is for any government role. Also the damage for Trump is already done.

@ErikJonker What if he knew exactly what he was doing and the heart thing is for plausible deniability? Testing the waters, if you will. I also can't see how this damages anyone as they seem detached from any consequences, just like the stock prices of some big tech companies seem to be. It's as if they've moved to a different chess board, while the rest of the world is still sitting at the table, pondering their next move...

@simeon @ErikJonker its looks similar to the 'advertisers go fuck yourself' remark he made. Too many people still think of him like a smart business man, so surely he didn't mean it!

The way media is set up in the US, there won't be enough backlash apart from the spectacle.

So now, apparently it is normal enough to make a nazi salute (twice!) and people still give you the benefit if the doubt. Might as well start some deportations and perhaps it will be seen as an oopsie as well..
