holy shit I just discovered this timeline setting in DaVinci Resolve, that means when I insert screenshots of part of my screen they'll show up actual size!!! instead of me having to play with zoom all the freakin' time! ahhhhhh!

see, with the default setting if you take a small rectangular screenshot, it's stretched all the way across the viewport — at a zoom level of 1, different-sized rectangles show at completely different magnification

but in "center crop with no resizing" mode, it shows screenshots actual-scale! you can make them all 2x if you want, but 1 screenshot pixel = 1 video pixel by default.

of course you can't change that setting mid-edit, it'll mess up all positioning you did before, but for my next project, I'm definitely doing that.
