AOC's Instagram reel about the tiktok ban is amazing:

-govt provided little evidence of national security risk

-she proposed a privacy law instead, and big tech freaked out

-tiktok has now restored service and thanked "president" Trump, who isn't president

-all major social media now controlled by the right wing

-better to use systems where you own your data (but she's apparently never heard of the fediverse!)

@stevenbodzin I'm not on Instagram but please can people tell AOC about the fediverse. If she means what she says then she should come out in favor of open social networks.
