Something is going on with the pigeons. One was dead with no marks on it in front of my house on Jan 1. Today there's one a couple blocks away sitting on the sidewalk not moving even when approached & sniffed by my dog, although alive.

Bird flu seems the obvious but... Either way 😬

Yeah I did once I realized the bird wasn't going to move, I just let her get too close this time before I realized but it was interesting to see what my dog would do. She just looked disappointed that no chase was happening.

Luckily it doesn't look like dogs are as susceptible to H5N1 as cats are.
