So tomorrow I'm taking the day off work to go to Exeter to visit the Met Office and give a talk on climate science to a bunch of climate scientists who know about a million times more about climate science than I do.

Sounds fun.
As global warming increases, the Met Office will come under increasing pressure to 'give us the bad news so we can prepare for it".
I wonder how they're preparing for that?
Britain (and Western Europe) are due to get much wetter than today - much wetter.
Imagine rainy Manchester, but across the whole country.

@JSharp1436 I hope I'll find out a bit more about exactly what they're preparing for and how when I visit them tomorrow

I wonder how long it'll be before they need/get a Quantum Supercomputer?
Never know, you might get a guided tour of their current Supercomputer.
Have a great day.

@JSharp1436 Thanks. I have been promised a guided tour. Don't know if it will include the supercomputer. I'm guessing probably not: such things are probably very high security.

Not that high actually. But it could be in a different building, or, not even on site.
Never know, you might even get a souvenir stick of Met rock, et al.
What's you talk about, specifically? (If I might ask)
