All those years I rolled my eyes at fundamentalist evangelical relatives who believed in the coming of a literal antichrist.
Never suspecting they—themselves—would fulfill their own prophecy by putting in the White House a man who lives and breathes in active defiance of everything Christ taught while masquerading as an angel of light.

It’s just wild that they have scriptures positively littered with verses that explicitly warn against the deceptive powers of the wicked—without ever considering THEY might be deceived.

@Holberg I was raised in that kind of fundamentalist tradition and it continues to amaze me how they can overlook all of the parts about not putting your faith in human governments, not being able to force other people to convert, etc. I knew hypocrisy was a thing but this is the most ham-handed, beyond parody version I could never have imagined.
