I almost feel like I am writing from the future, already using the "new" #gnome #adwaita fonts, Adwaita Sans and Adwaita Mono. 😜😋
Adwaita Sans is a variant of Inter, and Adwaita Mono, the Menlo style of Iosevka.
So, they're not really new fonts, but I'm still excited. 🤓

This is how Adwaita Mono looks like in GNOME Builder. 🤓

@amadeus Looking great. For us non-typos, why ls this font to be used instead of e.g. Helvetia? Happy to learn more #fontastic

@stahlbrandt I am not an export on the matter but such fonts are generally designed to be screen first. Meaning, that they should be easier to read on displays than non-screen first fonts. There are other reasons for choosing such a font, such as how many languages a font supports, or how actively a font is being worked on, and so on. But apart from all those reasons (which you can read a bit more about for example here: https://www.omglinux.com/gnome-may-switch-to-inter-font/), I'd say it's also subjective.

@amadeus I loved the change too! I was already using Inter, but now I’ve switched to Adwaita Sans and I’m testing Adwaita Mono. I used to use Meslo before that.
