lmao Firefox billing itself an "indie browser" when poking you to make it the default is straight up disingenuous

I mean, you don't have to say out loud that it's basically Google's anti-antitrust insurance, but let's not err too far on the other side either...

y'all, if a non-profit's livelihood depends entirely on one big corporate sponsor... is it indie?

no. no it's not. mozillians know that. only their fan base keeps deluding themselves. and their new marketing plays into that. it's ridiculous and transparent.

(nobody on the fediverse seems too confused about it but my bluesky replies are a trash fire of anger and denial)
