iPadOS 19 Feature Request: Fix multitasking on the iPad so there is only one mode and it works for both tablet and keyboard and mouse mode.

If that’s too much, then a setting that detects if a keyboard and mouse/trackpad is paired. If the iPad is in tablet mode use Split View multitasking, if a keyboard and mouse/trackpad is paired use Stage Manager.

@ChrisLawley Yes! Traditional style multitasking with the ability to add four windows would be amazing for when my iPad doesn’t have a pointing tool connected.

@ChrisLawley The one universal mode approach would definitely be welcome!

My view is Split View on external displays would be pretty nice. If you need a sales pitch - games. (I’d rather have letterboxing than a floating window)

@ChrisLawley I’ve heard that this might be a new design year, but I’d rather Apple just took a year to refine their apps.

I haven’t had the problems with Shortcuts that you have, but I’ve seen some pretty clearing issues in other apps, including Final Cut Pro

How’s da Vinci going by the way?

@ChrisLawley And for the love of god get rid of that little language "helper" thing that pops up next to text inputs that is never helpful and only gets in the way.
