Imagine a factory where Trump's anti immigration goons show up, in tactical gear, guns polished, flashlights charged, radio codes memorized, riot ready. And 100 Hispanic looking people get to take a 2 hour paid break while an HR geek goes through a list and repeatedly says "no, here's what we have" from a list of names and soon 100 girlfriends and wives start showing up with paperwork too.
All because MAGAts who called a snitch line don't know the difference between skin color and legal status.

I doubt HR will be consulted. They'll round everyone up, drive them away, put them in a warehouse, take their phones and wallets/purses, and then expect them to figure out how to prove they're here legally. The goal here is not to get rid of undocumented people. The goal is to get rid of non-whites. They plan to deport citizens anyway. It won't be their problem.

@MissGayle I know that's what they think, I know that's what they want US to think. They want us to just let it happen. But employing someone with no legality to work in the US is a serious crime, with significant fines for the business, so they are going to defend their interest.
And they are going to target the good states that resist tyranny, not the shit holes where conservatives roll over for thugs, so things are going to get legally complicated, instantly.

The second thing I added, where local police show up to make sure nobody is being taken away without cause, preventing illegal kidnappings, that will be in only a small number of states and cities, but I know there are good cops out there, and there are mayors and police chiefs who are not going to stand for citizens being grabbed and detained without charge.
The conservative plan only works if there really are tons of 'illegals' who have done something wrong. Messaging vs reality.

I just don't think the local police are going to do that. They're not immune from being arrested and hauled off themselves by federal authorities for "aiding and abetting crimes" or "interfering" with federal agents.

@MissGayle I think some police departments will roll over, some will even offer to assist. But a few will ask for volunteers and will stand up, and as part of their official job duties in preventing the crimes of kidnappings and illegal detention they will get the full backing of a state legal defense.
Rounding up people and detaining them without sufficient cause is illegal under state law, even if the feds are the ones doing it. Wasn't a problem when the people really were criminals.
