[#]apple #ios #browser

What still really pisses me off is that there is but ONE browser allowed to have plugins, extensions and that is #safari

I want my #firefox browser with extensions working as it does on #android devices, dammit!

But maybe I should look out for a not-too-bad #android tablet just for this use. Or maybe a #linux tablet?

Funny note: I managed to get Safari on my #iPhone with #youtube ad-free. But the same app isn't working on my #iPad. What a bummer & it's strange, too ...

@andreas_heitmann Yeahhhh reasons like this is why I rage quit Apple back in 2020..

But I really do wish there was better Android or Linux tablets out there.. Still seems to be a big blind spot

@andreas_heitmann I haven't tried it myself but I would consider the PineTab for a tablet.

@andreas_heitmann @eb7246eb8e26b0c48dd4f9c2a822a0f4d5c84138937195090932b61a2d756051 agreed. I was pro apple for many many years. But in 2020 changes in Mac hardware and software didn't sit well with me and all the sudden Linux was the easiest option.

So here I am. But use what you want.

@codemonkeymike Everything works fine within the #apple eco system. Really, I do not have any other complaints other than that. It's the little bit of freedom, Cupertino refuses us users to give. And I have the comparison with #android devices which lack a lot of finesse in many departments ...
