@niklaskorz @daniel So they improved Synapse workers but are locking the better, more efficient version behind a "Pro" license instead of making the improvements available to all Matrix installations.

@daniel Matrix is too much cluttered and bloated.

I don't recommend it to anyone. If somebody wants to use paid massaging service, there are clearer for profit projects.

No apparent enshitification yet, but it certainly looks like they want to keep all control over the server, the clients, and especially the users for themselves in case someone wants to throw money at them.
