Is there an iOS app where you can define things to do with various "validity" times, and then the app keeps a track of how long that "validity" is still good for?

For example, I wax my shoes every 4 months. I want to be able to define a "shoes waxed" item, with a validity of 4 months. Then I want the app to save when I last waxed them, and show me how long until I need to wax them again

This can be done with Reminders, but I want to be able to pre-define the items to keep track of

@davidbures interesting idea… it’s not exactly what you said but I personally use my app (shameless plug) for things like that: @Longago

F.e. I put my cars Maintenance and track when was the last time I did them, then put a “goal” like every 6 months, and some reminders.

It doesn’t exactly show the “validity” as you describe but it might fit for your use case!

@oscb @Longago This is a very well-designed app!

When I put a goal for a task, will it notify me when that goal is about to come around? I put in that the goal for shoe waxing is every 4 months; will it notify me when it’s about to be 4 months?

@davidbures I’m currently working on an app that helps with recurring tasks. You can define in which time intervals a task should be completed. It automatically determines the next maturity date when completing a tasks. A homescreen widget and notifications are also planned but not implemented yet.
