I don’t understand how to access #pixelfed with my #Mastodon account. The app seems to fail me whichever server I log on to.

Okay. I appear to be logged in to pixelfed.social but how do I see the people I follow from fosstodon.org. Or does federation not work like that. I also logged into gram.social so I don’t know if I have mucked things up a bit.

Well posting a picture on Pixelfed doesn’t show up here on Mastodon so perhaps it doesn’t work that way.

@luketrevorrow If you follow a Pixelfed account from Mastodon it will show up like a native account.

Following a Mastodon account from Pixelfed does work as well you just will not see that accounts boosts as the concept does exist only in a very limited way on Pixelfed. And you will only see the Mastodon accounts media posts.

@luketrevorrow And I just realised a possible misunderstanding. Your social graph is separated for both services so you will need to recreate it on the Pixelfed side after creating an account there by following accounts on either side.
