Okay. I appear to be logged in to pixelfed.social but how do I see the people I follow from fosstodon.org. Or does federation not work like that. I also logged into gram.social so I don’t know if I have mucked things up a bit.

My wife and I went to see Nosferatu at the local independent cinema yesterday, and I must say that the more I think about it, the more I think it is a real classic. The cinematography was superb, story fun and all the players were brilliant - the casting was superb. I’m tempted to go and watch it again. #Nosferatu #independentcinema #film

I’m sitting here listening to different versions of the jazz classic Giant Steps by John Coltrane. So far none of them come close to the original. I like the Courtney Pine version and even the Kenny Garrett rendition, but for some reason that original take from the titular album is a masterpiece. I am assuming the Tommy Flanagan rendition is his way of making himself feel better as he wasn’t happy with the original take. #johncoltrane #jazz #CourtneyPine #kennygarrett #giantsteps #TommyFlanagan

Quite a few of the people I follow have gone over to #Bluesky so I went and had a look. And I didn’t like it. So I deleted it and won’t be going back. It’s a shame as those people were interesting but there is a world of interesting and pleasant people on #Mastodon to make up for the few who have departed. One day they might come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine. #DoctorWho

I need some #FediTips or #fedihelp. Why is it that I only see certain things in my feed? What is it that determines what is in my feed. There are people I follow that post updates and yet I never see them. Is it time of day, (some of these people are US based and I am in the UK), is it the hashtags they use, or is it down to the instance of a Mastodon server I am on? #confused

I’ve just discovered I have missed a few @cppcast episodes in my feed. I really enjoyed the live episode at @CppCon, and the episode about realtime static analysis was incredibly interesting and informative - even though I don’t do realtime programming.
